My grandfather's, (Emil Michael Bialy White), various spellings of his surname have made this a problematic search. When my great-grandparents immigrated from Russia & Poland, somehow five different spellings of their last name surfaced, Bialy, Bailey, Baily, Bially, Bialey which in Polish means white. I can't find records indicating when the family changed their surname of "White". My grandpa was born on 12 May 1893 in the Town of Brazeau, Pound, WI. His parents were Michael Bialy White, his mother Wilhelmina “Minnie” Cudnofsky/Czudnochowski Bialy White.
The surname spellings have made this a difficult search so any help would be greatly appreciated!
