My mother in law was Mary Maleitzke, daughter of Lewis and Merle. She was born in Fowlerville in 1920, youngest of 3 children. Lewis died in 1929 just before the stock market crash. Merle later married John Bobier. He died 1 year and 1 day later.

There are Maleitzke family members in Storkow, Germany. The region is vorPomern, in the north near the Baltic. (Former GDR, former Prussia, divided after WWII so half became Poland.) Good luck!
