I am looking for family thats last name is Eberspeaker, Eberspacher, Eberspaucher, Eberspecker, Ueberspecher and originally came from Wurttemburg or Nuremburg Prussia (Germany)to Ann Arbor, MI. in the mid 1800's and it looks like some of them moved on around St. Louis, Gratiot County I found them in the 1870 Census under and I think I found them in the 1860 Census in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Co. MI
1870 Census: Godleb Ebelspecker Washtenaw Co., Ann Arbor, MI
Godleb Ebelspecker (54) Gardner Nurtumburg b. about 1816
Riga (46) HouseKeeper b. about 1824
Fred (16) b. about 1854 **
Rebeca (15) b. about 1855 My Great Grandmother
Sophia (12) b. about 1858
Lydia (9) b. about 1861
Henry (5) b. about 1865 ***
Martha (3) b. about 1867
I found out **Fred died of Typhoid Fever 24 Aug 1876 in Ann Arbor Town, Washtenaw Co., MI at 23 yrs 29 days. Fred was a Farm Laborer and his Father is shown to be Gottlieb Eberspecker and mother to be what looks like Henica Eberspecker.
***Henry Eberspacher I found married Hattie Kranell in 1897 she was 19 in Isabella County, it says they had 3 children on his death certificate, he died of Fracture of spinal column and smashing of spinal cord 5 Feb 1904 Bethany Twp., Gratiot County and found out he was born Sept 1 1864. Henry's death certificate shows his father to be G. Eberspacher.
I know that Hattie Eberspeaker went on to marry John Bobier and they lived in Breckenridge Village and Hattie had her daughter Clara Eberspeaker (b. 26 May 1898 and d. Jan 1976) with her and Clara married Art Parrish. I have some pictures with them in them at family gatherings. After Hattie died John Bobier married Merle I Maleitzke a widow who was married to Lewis E. Maleitzke and they lived in Breckenridge.
I also know that Raymond (b. 5 Nov 1899 d. Apr 1984) and Belva (b. 23 Apr 1903 d. Aug 1986) Eberspeaker from Gratiot County were close to the Maleitzke and Fear Family in Fowlerville, Livingston Co., MI. and think they are part of this family somehow. At first I thought they were brother and sister but lately I am thinking they might of been husband and wife and maybe Henry and Hattie's Son and Clara's brother.
I also just found 2 children in a 1930 Census that might be Raymond and Belva's Eberspeaker, Wesley b. 1930 and Philis b. 1926 from Bethany Twp., St Louis City, Gratiot Co., MI.
I have a baptism document that shows Rebekka (Rebecca) Sophi Ueberspecher who was my Great Grandmother and married Fred or Friedrich Maleitzke my Great Grandfather.
I also ran across Gottlieb's Eberspeaker immigration or Naturalization papers in the Michigan State Library when I was just starting to learn Genealogy.
I know from Maleitzke Cousins that there use to be Eberspeaker Reunions in Michigan, so I imagine someone is into Genealogy. I would be grateful for any information to find out what happened to the family and am trying to research back to Prussia or Germany if possible and I will share what information I have for Rebecca (Eberspeaker) Maleitzke.
