That church was United Methodist. When you look at the United Methodist Main Website, its states it is closed, but you will see that it lists Craig A. Pahl as the minister. I looked up Rev. Pahl and it appears he is the minster at both the Allen and Jonesville U.M. Churches. I found this phone number (517)849-9565 for Jonesville. You might be able to find other phone numbers, too. Rev. Pahl appears to still have been at the churches in Sept 2011.

I might add my 2 cents worth regarding phone calls. I don't leave a message. That way I won't embarrass someone if they just didn't get around to calling me back. It also keeps me in control of contacting them. After 30 years of tracing, I still call total strangers on genealogy.

What you need is some family that went to that country church thru the generations, and they probably exist.
