Lloyd J. ADAMS, Jackson, 83, of Jackson and formerly of Colon, a dairy worker for many years, died Oct 19, 1997 at Foote Memorial Hospital, Jackson. He was born Feb. 24, 1914 in White Pigeon, a son of Eben and Lula (LASH) ADAMS. A 1932 graduate of Colon High School, he resided in Jackson since 1936. On Sept. 30, 1936, he married Hazel WALTERS in LaGrange, Ind. He was employed at the diary in Colon with his father until 1936 when he moved to Jackson and worked at Loud and Jackson Dairy for 50 years, retiring in 1976. A member of the First Methodist Church of Jackson, he enjoyed flowers, gardening and hunting in his younger years. Surviving are his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David NEWMAN of Jackson; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald L. and Helen ADAMS of Horton; five grandchildren, Crystal STRINGHAM, Amy ADAMS, Lori NEWMAN, Michael NEWMAN and Marcy CAMPA; five great-grandchildren, Melanie NEWMAN, Nickolas ADAMS, Nathan CAMPA, Kyle STRINGHAM and Kalee STRINGHAM; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth C. WALTERS of California. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Judy Pearl ADAMS in 1945 and his parents. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Schipper Funeral Home Ltd. of Colon, where services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ray D.
