Ann Madden is age 22 (b 1848) in Ireland and is a Domestic Servant. The 1871 Jackson Directoryhas Ellen Madden at Jackson 103 Blackstone, working as a Domestic.
On 16 July 1872 Ellen MADDEN married John E. DIGNAM in Jackson MI. Ellen is 20, B Ireland and John is 27, B Georgia, a Carpenter. Witnesses were James Delehaunty & Anna Madden both of Jackson and Rev “Theo Bupe” was the Catholic Priest. (“Theophilus Buyse” was The Catholic Priest of the 15 Jan 1877 marriage of “Maggie” Madden to John Egan, probably the same person).

On 23 Sep 1888, “Nellie” Dignan died in Jackson of “Consumption”. She was age 35 (1853) Married, born in Ireland and her parents were Dead and their residence was Unknown. This appears to be Ellen Madden – Dignan who was baptized 23 July 1851 Where Buried? After her death, I’ve not found anything in Jackson on her husband John or their 4 children.

George CONROY is in the 11 June 1900 census as a patient at Kalamazoo Mich Asylum for the Insane. He was age 70, B 1821, a Widow, could read, write & speak English. All other spaces say "unknown" (the same for most all of the patients)
On 1 July 1900, George CONROY died at Kalamazoo Mich Asylum for the Insane. He was age 71, B Ireland as were Parents (their names "Unkn") Single, a Painter, Buried Jackson (Where?).
