Thelma Stafinski passed away January 16, 2004. Thelma was born January 27, 1910 to Samuel and Rejinah Holmes. She married Frank Stafinski May 6, 1943 in Sparta, Wisconsin. She was a lifelong member of the Vicksburg community and a devoted wife and mother. Thelma took pleasure watching her children and grandchildren as they participated in school activities and sports. She enjoyed watching sports, fishing, playing cards, dancing, watching birds that frequented the feeder, and working in their flower and vegetable garden. Thelma is survived by her husband Frank, sons; John Wright of Aptos, California, David and wife Grace, Douglas and wife Deb all of Vicksburg, Daughter Gail DeWolff and husband Ken of Scotts. Grandchildren include David Stafinski, Lisa Bennett, Katie Grossman, Eric Stafinski, Trisha and Jennifer DeWolff and great granddaughter Ally Stafinski. Thelma is also survived by her twin sister Evelyn Kramer and her husband Arnold, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, two sisters, Zella Stafford, Jenny Scott, and two brothers, Dr. Foster Holmes, and Harold Holmes preceded her in death. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Thursday at St. Martin Catholic Church, 5845 East W Ave., Vicksburg with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Martin Celebrating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private inurnment of cremains will be in Vicksburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the St. Martin Catholic Church Building Fund. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. www.langelands.com.
