On Friday, January 16, 2004, Missionary Marian Linda Hudson-Odoh went home to be with the Lord. She was a loving sister, aunt, niece, friend, and an anointed teacher of God's Word. Marian Linda Hudson-Odoh was born January 14, 1958, to Pastor Leonzo Hudson, Sr., and Evangelist Missionary Rebecca Hudson, in Kalamazoo, MI. She accepted the Lord at an early age, serving dutifully and faithfully assisting her parents at House of Peace Church of God In Christ. She worked in various capacities at the local church as youth leader, outreach team, prayer and Bible band teacher, and Sunday School teacher. Marian moved to San Diego, CA, in 1987. She was an active and faithful member at St. Stephen's Church of God In Christ Ministries. She worked under the leadership of Bishop George D. and Dr. Jean C. McKinney Ph.D., COGIC General Board members. She worked faithfully in this ministry, providing executive administrative support and public relations. She was admired and greatly respected for her dedicated commitment to the Lord. As a licensed missionary in the Church of God In Christ, she shared the Word of God for women's days, youth days, and conferences. She was on the Intercessory Prayer Warrior Team, and instrumental in developing a prayer guide booklet that is available in bookstores across the country. Marian relocated to Kalamazoo (her hometown), July 2003, where she joined in membership and fellowship under the leadership and vision of Pastor C.G. Charles and Missionary Fannie Charles of Tabernacle COGIC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor Leonzo and Missionary Evangelist, Rebecca E. Hudson; sisters, Dorothy M. McCoy, Blonzella S. Casey; brother, Onepheus Hudson; grandparents, Squire and Victorine Hudson, Henry and Leana Williams Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories, brothers, Charles (Sandra) Hudson, of Elverta, CA, Oscar (Misa) Hudson, of Kalamazoo, MI, Samuel Lee Hudson, of Kalamazoo, MI, Leonza (Heidi Tyler) Hudson, of Zeeland, MI, James Hudson, of San Antonio, TX, Steven Hudson, of New York, NY; sisters, Mary (Henry) Woodard, of Tunica, MS, Liler (Webb) Griffith, of Benton Harbor, MI, Ruth (Curtis) Raines, of Kalamazoo, MI, LaVerna D. Wanyembo, of Harrisburg, PA, Evelyn (Ivory) Grays, of South Haven, MI, Jacquelyn Pettis, of Ellicott City, MD; uncles, Administrative Assistant ("Pa-Pa Unc") Pastor Amos (Mable) Williams Sr., of Kalamazoo, MI, Henry (Pearlie) Williams, of Kalamazoo, MI, Pastor Walter (Bessie) Williams, of Kalamazoo, MI, Pastor Charles (Bulillie) Williams, of Detroit, MI, Moses Williams, of Kalamazoo, MI; aunts, Missionary Mary Pitts, of Kalamazoo, MI, Deborah Jiles, of Detroit, MI; and very special nieces, nephews and dear friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, with an 10:00 a.m. Family Hour at Tabernacle Church of God In Christ, Pastor C.G. Charles, officiating.
