Christine Bageris Dales passed away on May 24, 2008. She was born in Detroit to the late Sam and Eugenia Bageris. Christine is survived by her husband of 52 years, George, and daughters Maria (Orange County, CA), Janine (Richland, MI), Corinne (Kalamazoo, MI) and Natalie (Arlington, MA). Christine is also survived by her brothers Plato, George and Evans, all of the greater Detroit area. An active member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Christine held board positions, including president and treasurer, with the Philoptochos Society. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to family, generous heart, good humor and numerous philanthropic efforts on behalf of those less fortunate. Christine was a brave and quietly courageous woman. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 11AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 507 S Westnedge Avenue, Kalamazoo. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 27 from 3PM to 6PM, with a Trisagion service at 7:30PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and, for her love of animals, to the Kalamazoo Humane Society. www.langelands.com
