Passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008. Wilma was born March 8, 1910 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, a daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Koning) Eshuis and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for many years. She was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed doing needlepoint. On September 21, 1933, she married Martin Lanting who preceded her in death on January 12, 1970. She was also preceded by her four brothers and four sisters. Wilma is survived by her three daughters, Carol Lanting of Kalamazoo, Norma (David) Meadows of Naples, FL and Celia (Bert) De Jong of Villa Park, IL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Third Christian Reformed Church, 2400 Winchell Ave. with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Baker officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St . on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the Kalamazoo Christian Schools or the charity of one's choice.
