Grandma Colleen was called to Heaven by the angels on August 16, 2010. She peacefully passed away at her home reminiscing about the weekend she had just spent with her children and grandchildren. Colleen was born May 7, 1947 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lester) Francisco. Colleen worked in Information Technology for the Upjohn Co. for many years. Colleen was awarded the Upjohn Prize in Recognition of Special Accomplishment in 1995, but she was most proud of her children whom all graduated from college and her 8 loving grandchildren. Colleen was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Knitters Club. Colleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Kocsis. On November 27, 1965, she married James Magnan, who survives. Also surviving are four children: Kimberly (Scott) Melvin of Portage, Eric (Ruby) Magnan of Northville, MI; Pamela (Todd) Rumler of Kent, OH and Christine (Dan) Poliski of Grand Rapids, MI; eight grandchildren: Samantha Jolee, Alyssa, Nolan, Jeevan, Maggie, Chethan, Anna and Simran; six siblings: Barbara DeKam; Brian (Cindy) Francisco; Patricia (Charles) Hill, Kevin Francisco, Michael (Kim) Francisco and Maureen (Scott) Kiewiet and several nieces and nephews. While she has left her family too soon, she will never be forgotten in the eyes and hearts of her 8 grandchildren on whom the sun rose and set. You will be missed Grandma Colleen!
