Mr. Harry BUSSEMA, 3954 Woodmere Lane, Passed away Monday, January 8, 1990. Mr. BUSSEMA was born September 2, 1902 in the Netherlands, the son of Karl and Josephine (JONKMAN) BUSSEMA and had been a resident here since 1926, previously living in Chicago. Before retirement, he was employed by James River Corp., KVP Group. He was a member of the Third Reformed Church and had served as Deacon, Elder, and Sunday School teacher for many years. Mr. BUSSEMA was also a member of the XYZ Club. On July 7, 1927 he was married to Tina NAPP, who survives. Also surviving are on son and one daughter and their spouses, Carl E. and Helen BUSSEMA and Annetta Mae and Gerald VROGINDEWEY, all of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Martin and his wife, Frances BUSSEMA of Kalamazoo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter DEVRIES, Jennie KROEZE, Martha BUSSEMA, Ann and Reint JAGER, Esther BUSSEMA, Gertie NIEWOONDER, John and Effie KNAPP; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 10 brothers. Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 o’clock at the Third Reformed Church, 2345 N. 10th St. with Pastor Ronald Beyer officiating. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Third Reformed Church Building Fund. Friends may meet the family at the Langeland Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick, A Trust 100 Chapel this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. source: Kalamazoo Gazette after Jan 8, 1990 (submitted by a volunteer, no family connection)
