Mr. John L. Bambacht 7531 Kingston Dr., Portage - Passed away Monday morning, April 11, 1977. Mr. Bambacht was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Portage, son of Gerrit and Jennie Bambacht and had been a lifelong resident here. He was employed for 26 years by the Upjohn Co. and was a member of the First Reformed Church of Portage, had been a Sunday School Teacher and had served in the Consistory. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline J.; 2 daughters and 3 sons, Kathleen Kiser and Mrs. Randy (Dian) DeVries of Portage, Johnny of Vicksburg, Dennis and Kenneth, both of Portage; 2 grandchildren, Leslie June DeVries and Andrew John DeVries; his father, Gerrit Bambacht of Portage; 3 sisters and 3 brothers, Miss Wilma Bambacht of Pittsford, Mich., Adrian of West Chicago, Ill., Gerald of Hillsdale, Mich., Mrs. Julia Schippers of Portage, Mrs. Caroline Bowman of Vicksburg, James of Marcellus, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 2 o'clock at the Langeland Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., with Rev. Mr. John VanderMay officiating. Entombment in Mt. Ever-Rest Mausoleum.
