LORIN HOWE. Lorin D. Howe, 64, of Kalkaska, a former General Motors employee, died Friday, Sept. 16, 1983 at his residence. Mr. Howe resided in Three Rivers prior to moving to Kalkaska. He served in the Army with the 101 Airborne Division during World WW II, and was a member of the V.F.W. He was born in Kalkaska County April 11, 1919, the son of Lorin and Mabel Shaffer HOWE. He was married in Three Rivers, Dec. 6, 1980 to Wavelene Myers, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert of Three Rivers, John of Fowlerville, and Richard of Kalkaska; one daughter, Mrs. William (Patricia) Ogden of Harrison; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Barry of Howell, and Mrs. Genevieve Collins of Lakeland, Florida; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild. One great granddaughter preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 19, 1983 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Eddie Bratton, pastor of the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County. - The Leader and the Kalkaskian, September 22, 1983
