I am going to try to answer your questions in order on here. My source of parents for John Shippy b 1800 New York-d 1864 Michigan, is personal family knowledge being handed down. John's parents Stephen Shippy and Abigail Salisbury Shippy are buried in Oxford, MI on the same plot as John and his wife Mary, some of their children, and also some of John's siblings families. I am trying to prove that Stephen and Abigail were John's parents. So far no proof other then family knowledge. Thanks for your response.
