I have traced the Jenkins family back to England. Josiah had an older brother James and a younger brother Thomas and a sister Mary. All of them eventually moved to Canada. Their parents were James Jenkins and Grace Hatherly. It was Grace's second marriage, her first being to Thomas Veal. They were from Pancrasweek,Devon,England.
