Actually I was just trying to learn what church Pastor Flint was with in 1886 so I could hopefully find the church's version of the marriage and see if it has a death/burial record for the "bride" since there appears to be none recorded with the county (not uncommon in this time period).
I already had most of the info you listed in your reply. I can even narrow the death of the "bride" between 1886 and 1894. Robert was listed as widower on the 1894 state census.
There are no children from this marriage so that route is unavailable. And I do have Robert's death certificate.
I have a query into the Methodist Conference Archives to hopefully learn the answer I sought which will hopefully lead me to the other answers I seek. I've also added some newspaper searches to my list for my next visit to the Library of Michigan.
Thanks.
