I am a Norwegian. Melkild is the name of my birthplace in Norway, and it is the only place in Norway named so. (It is pronounced like "mjoelkjill"). It is a very old farm name, and as far as I know the origin of all Melkil(d) names. Why is there a Melkild Road, East Melkild Road, in Northport, Leelanu county, Michigan? Can someone tell me?
