Surnames: Sanford, Ashby

I think Harriet may be the mother of the Almira, Catherine T and Mary Ann Ashby shown as the first 3 children of Thompson Ashby in the 1850 Mackinac,Michican census even though his wife at that time is named Berintha.
There are Sanfords in Monroe in the 1830s.
