Henry MENARD/MANORE/MANOR (b. 1832)

I am seeking information on the parents of Henry MENARD/MANORE/MANOR (b. about 1832 in Michigan).

Henry married a Susan GRODI (b. 01 Jan 1836 in Canada) and among their children was a Cordelia "Delia" MANOR (b. 21 Mar 1864 in Erie, Monroe, Michigan) who married an Oliver Frank BURROW (b. Dec 1861 in Carlton, Michigan).

Other children include Mary, Peter, Madeline, James, Trephena, Henry, Caroline, and possibly a John.

I am wondering if anyone has any information that may serve to link this Henry MENARD/MANORE/MANOR to the family of one Jean-Marie (John Mary) MENARD.

I know that Jean-Marie MENARD is said to have had a son named Henry born abt. 1832 in Michigan, but, as I can find no further information on this Henry's family, I am unable to determine if this Henry is the same as my own.

Any information, confirmation or denials about the potential connection here would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Hope
Toledo, Ohio

Albrecht Zang

Looking for Information on Albrecht Zang (1818-1870)
Albrecht Zang was born on April 15, 1818 in St. Leon, Baden Germany. He married Elizabeth HERMES (See HERMES LINE) on May 25, 1844. The story goes that Albrecht was involved in the 1848 student rebellion and, along with Carl Schurz, had to flee the country.
Albrecht Zang and his family immigrated to the United States about 1853. The World Family tree lists them as arriving from Havre, docking in New York on the Ship “John Speer” on April 18, 1853. Albrecht and his family settled in Monroe Michigan
I AM LOOKING FOR HIS PARENTS. I BELIVE THEM TO BE FRANZ JACOB ZANG AND EVA MARIA GOETZMANN. Going through the records, I believe that Albrecht came to America not only with his family but also with his dead brother’s (Franz Felix) wife Maria Barbara Schnorrberger Zang and her young daughter Apollonia Zang. Also listed in Monroe County are Joseph Hermes and Maria Eva Schnorrberger, father and mother of Albrecht’s wife Barbara.
I believe Albrecht Americanized his name to Albert. The family is listed in the 1860 census:
Albert Zang, age 41, watchmaker, listed as being born in Germany.
Elizabeth (Hermes) Zang, age 37, born in Germany.
Julius Zang, age 16, born in Germany.
David Zang, age 9, born in Germany.
Eliza Zang, age 7, born in Germany.
Rosa Zang, age 5, born in Michigan.
Charles Zang, age 3, born in Michigan.
Frederick Zang, age 4 months, born in Michigan.
The break in years between Eliza (born in Germany on August 1, 1952) and Rosa (born in Michigan on September 24, 1856) coincides exactly with Albrecht and Elizabeth Zang’s date of immigration in 1853.

Monroe, MI A Popular Marriage Destination?

I have encountered 3 marriages in my family history in Monroe, MI. None of the couples were from Monroe (Chicago & Cleveland).

Just wondering if Monroe was a popular marriage destination in the 1910's-1920's. (The Las Vegas of the Miwest?)

Or were there perhaps other reasons why a couple might travel to Monroe to get married (more liberal requirements for licenses?) - I ask because of the 3 marriages, 1 was between cousins (and the bride lied about her mother's maiden name) & for another the bride would have been underage in IL & OH.

Just curious.

Rescued Photos, LANG & TODD Surnames, Monroe Co. MI

As a hobby, I rescue old photos that have identification on them. I have one of a boy, identified as James Floyd Lang, and it state his birthday was Sept. 17, 1884. The photographer was in Monroe, MI.

Normally this is where I say, Contact me if you'd like to obtain this photo. (And you can). But I realized that I hold another photo, from an area close to where this young boy was raised. It's a photo card from a young suiter, named Nathan, and sent as a Christmas greeting to a young lady named Callie Todd, of New Boston, MI. (Wayne Co.)

In trying to determine if James was a Lang-there was a question on the hand writing, I did a search on another genealogy site. I located a WWI draft registration for a James Floyd LANG with the same birthday, living in Monroe.
Where I'm going with this is, his wife, is listed as Callie TODD LANG. Now I'd like to know if anyone out there knows of this couple and if they might know who her previous beau, Nathan was.

I'd like to get these photos into the hands of family. If you'd like to obtain it, please contact me at: digginroots@yahoo.com for details.

Kathy

My third great-grandfather, Benjamin Tibbitts (Tibbits) owned property on the south (west) bank of the River Raisin prior to 1800. I have an early plat map showing the names and locations of landowners of that era and the very early 1800's.

If anyone has information on the Benjamin Tibbitts, a sea captain, killed in 1804 at the wharf in Detroit, when he fell thru an open hatch of a ship, I'd appreciate hearing from you. I have a significant amount of data on his descendants, including his son (also Benjamin) who pioneered the area around Blissfield, MI.

Wayne L. Tibbitts, 11203 Caravel Circle, Ft. They came from Montreal, Canada, in about 1843, and settled in Newport, Michigan.
Also on Jeremiah Roberts and Mary Josetta Lauzon (Lozon). I think they are from the same area. One of their daughters, Agatha, married Samuel Chinavare, son of John and Catherine. The only information on this couple I have is that she was born March 9, 1837.
How about Eugene Hyacinth Myre? His son (a junior) was my grandfather.

Anyone having ancestors buried in St. Antoine's catholic cemetery, Monroe, MI should know that the graveyard is being built over by a subdivision. Over 570 French Canadians who first settled "Frenchtown" are having their final resting place disturbed. Human remains have been exposed and were lying on top of the ground. Nothing can be done unless this developer voluntarily seeks an archeological search. At this point he doesn't seem to willing to halt the further desecration of the graveyard. For more detail contact me.
KEYES (KEYS) - trying to find out more information re my great-great-grandfather, George A.(?) KEYES (KEYS) who is listed in the 1870 census for Petersburg, Summerfield township, Monroe County, Michigan. Any/all information from land deed, probate, tax lists, etc. would be very welcome. According to the Tekonsha, Calhoun County, Mich. obituaries for his daughter, Georgia May KEYES DEMAREST, her father owned a large farm in Petersburg before his health failed, he then traded it for a merchandise store in Girard, Branch County, Mich. ~1874 or so. Supposedly they lived somewhere in Canada before coming to Petersburg, Monroe Co. between 1860 - 1870. Any and all information VERY greatly appreciated by this Native Arizonan!!! Thanks - Kenneth Byrd, Indianapolis.

Children listed Delia, Bruce (who may have died young), Clarence, Clinton James, Clifford. Hannah was a widow in 1900. James passed before 1860. Would like information on deaths and burials and any hint as to their origins. I believe them to be the sons of Joseph Thornton of Brougham Pickering Ontario and that they had to leave after participation in the Rebellion of 1837.

POW/MIA Korean War Monroe Co. McKENZIE

I am searching for the family of a soldier who was killed in the Korea War. When he entered service he gave MOnroe County, Michigan as his home of record.

Soldier: MARION DEWEY McKENZIE
Born: Feb 13, 1931 Caucasian
Date of loss: November 30, 1950

When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located. There are 128 families in Michigan that have not been located. There is one family from Monroe County that has not been located.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (76 years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating this family.

Harold Davis
40th Infantry Division
Korea ’52-‘53
910-791-2333
hgdavis@bellsouth.net
ISO Hunt family

I am of African-American heritage and ISO Hunt family that may have migrated from Florida to Michigan. Here's part of my story; my father's name was Freeman Hunt and his last known address was somewhere in Vero Beach, FL, (I do not have a street address). He was admitted to the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, FL on January 20, 1956 and he died in the hospital on July 24, 1956. His brother Fred was with him when he was admitted but he had limited information to put on the hospital record card. The records state that he was buried at the hospital cemetery, but I cannot find any record of him in any of the cemeteries. His siblings were William, Cora, Fred, James, Matthew and Josephine. Is there anyone out there that may have some information on him. Please e-mail me at dcmonroe@verizon.net.
Henry, Hortense, Paul WILHELM in Temperance MI?

Trying to find a g-granduncle Henry W(alter?) WILHELM (or WILLIAMS), & family. He was born in Toledo 1855 or 1856, graduated Toledo HS and Cornell U., worked as a surveyor (was Lucas County surveyor for a few years) and ran a hotel / rooming house at 716 Jefferson in Toledo. About 1877 he married Hortense ? (born Michigan), they had son Paul S. 1877 or 1878, either in Ohio or Michigan. Henry died in Toledo in 1928, left most of his estate to the Toledo Museum of Art. Hortense apparently pre-deceased him; in 1920 census, Henry is living alone at the Jefferson St address. In 1899 Toledo business directory, Hortense is listed as president United Storage Truck & Transfer CO; Henry is secy/treasurer. Also, according to the Cornell alumni office, Henry had an office address of R.D.2, Temperance MI. According to Henry's death certificate, he was sent to Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo, but they have no record of him.
SO -- does anyone have any knowledge of a WILHELM or WILLIAMS family, (Henry, Hortense, Paul) buried somewhere in the Temperance area, most likely NOT in a Catholic cemetery?

Ken Thompson
Moline Acres (north StLouis County) MO

Folkema and raised her family in Erie, Mich.

Shirley moved to the north Oregon Coast in 1993, where her oldest son owned and operated a marina.

She had a great love for animals, especially cats and dogs. She spent a great deal of her adult life raising and showing beagles and German Shepherds in the greater Toledo, Ohio area.

She always had a pet or two at any given time in her childhood, including a cat named Pumpkin who was with her at her time of passing.

Shirley would tell you her best work and blessings were her children. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Folkema (Valerie) of Bay City, Ore. and Gregory Folkema (Lisa) of Erie, Mich.; daughter, Pamela Thornton of Traverse City, Mich.; four grandchildren, Casey and Cody Folkema of Bay City, Ore. and Wade and Amber Folkema of Erie, Mich.

Her husband, Henry, died earlier in 2006.

Shirley was loved and will be missed by many friends and family from the Oregon Coast to her hometown of Erie, Mich.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.

Pacific View Memorial Chapel is serving the family.

The News Guard, Lincoln City, OR March 5, 2008

Arthur Graham(b @1808) is the father of William Henry Graham (b 1832, Picton, Pr. Edward, Ontario).
William H(enry) Graham was in the 1851 census of Hallowell, as a single male. There was no Arthur there with him, in any of
Hallowell.
From "Pioneer Life on the Bay of Quinte", 1904, pp 98-103 there is a large listing of family members of the Arthur family. In
this account, Matthew Arthur's daughter, Mary, married William Graham, and had six children, Arthur;, James, William, Dr.
Henry, Matthew and Sarah A.
The above Arthur, son of Mary Arthur and William Graham, is likely MY Arthur, the father of William Henry Graham.
My William Henry Graham was a physician, b 1832 in Picton, died 1907 in Detroit. Married three times, with 5 sons from the three marriages. He could be related to a long time ressident of Monroe, a Dr. Henry Graham, who died 1855 in a horse accident in Toledo. I believe Dr. Henry Graham to be an uncle to My William Henry Graham.
My William Henry Graham apparently married in Monroe, about 1855
One son, Wilbert Washington Graham, married in Monroe,Monroe, Mi, in 1856. He is listed in a Monroe counties marriage index.
I am looking for the wife of william Henry Graham.
I am seeking birth and death dates and places for the families listed in the Bay of Quinte book, referenced above.
Contact me by Email, or visit my website. Thank you.
William Henry Graham was likely with his wife, name unknown, in Sidney, Hastings, Ontario
when his son was born there, 1856.

John Adams / Asa Adams and the Roots

I am looking for information on an early resident of Monroe County named John ADAMS. I believe he was the father of my GGG grandfather, Asa ADAMS. John appears in the Monroe County voter lists and census from 1820-1825. John is not in the 1830 census so must have died between 1825-1830.

Asa was born in New York about 1806, so John was probably born around 1780 in NY.

I do not know if John was related to the brothers Ephraim and James Q. ADAMS, who were prominent Monroe County residents.

Asa married Delia Harriet ROOT. In the 1820 census, there was a William ROOT. In 1830, there was an Amos ROOT living near Asa. Perhaps William was her father and Amos was her brother?

Asa and Harriet moved to Indiana in the 1830s.

I would appreciate any and all information on these Adamses and Roots!

--Karen Adams

Does someone have an early history on Monroe Co.? Our family shows Luther Harvey (b. Sep 1783), son of Kimber Harvey died in Monroe County on 8 Feb 1816. Luther was from NH. All his family were in NH when he died. His widow, Lois Wiswall(Wiswell) remarried later and removed to Ontario Canada. Was there something going on in 1816 that would have brought a fellow out from NH to MI? Were there some land battles going on that may have caused the Federal Govt. to send troops into the area? I really would like to find out why Luther Harvey was in MI in 1816. When did he come? Thanks for any help you can provide. I have recently found a Civil War "Father's" Pension filed by my ancestor ISAAC FISHER from Tippecanoe County, Indiana. In it, an affidavit was given by John and Betsey Caswell of Milan, Monroe County, Michigan, stating that they had known Isaac Fisher for 50 years and gave proof of his first marriage to MARTHA GEE in Reading, Steuben County, New York.

Am trying to discover the relationship between Isaac Fisher and John and Elizabeth Caswell.

Any help appreciated.

Baker and Losee Families in Ash Township, Monroe County, Michigan

I am trying to find the connection between my gr-gr grandfather, Tinbrook Chamberlain Baker, and the Losee family of Monroe County, Michigan. Both Tinbrook Baker’s parents and the Losee family were originally from New York. Per the 1850 census, at the age of 16, Tinbrook was living with William and Eliza Losee (both born in New York) and their children Dorlisk?, Daniel and Charles. Also listed at this residence is a female with the last name of Baker (first name is illegible) age 3, and a Mary Ann Baker, age 19, born in New York. I do not know how Mary Ann Baker is related to Tinbrook. She could be his sister. I also found that Daniel Losee, one of the children listed above, ended up marrying a Lucinda Baker, but I cannot find a connection between her and my grandfather, Tinbrook. Any help will be appreciated.

Looking for information on death records of Lydia (Mary) MONROE TAYNOR. She died in Monroe in 1884. She was the wife of Isaac Newton Dayton Taynor, mother of Isaac Lewis Taynor. We have her obit from the Custer Museum records but nothing else. We believe she may have also been born in Monroe. She is believed to have been full blood Indian from unknown tribe.

Also looking for any TAYNOR connection to the area, along with info on Charles and Gilbert Poupard, father and son in late 1800s. Charles' wife was Monica Coulay, daughter of Oliver Abner COULAY and Archange YAX, daughter of John Baptist Yax.

Johann Valentin Straub>John B.>Ellis Webster Straub>Royal Ellis Straub

I seek clues of town of origin in Baden, Germany through land & will records, histories, photos etc. for this family.

Royal Ellis STRAUB/STRAUP was born 26 May, 1891 in Raisinville, Monroe County, Michigan and attended the one- room-schoolhouse of local historical significance as a youth with his four brothers and two sisters. He worked for a time on the railroad. He died in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah on 05 November, 1973 after helping an old friend move. He was the son of Ellis Webster Straub/Stroub, who was born 31 October, 1859 in London, Monroe, Michigan. Ellis was married to Miriam (Mary) Elizabeth Mosbar and they were the parents of seven children. Ellis was the son of John Baptiste Straub, who was born 16 September 1834 in Baden, Germany and died 21 Jan 1907, the father of eleven children . He was a farmer.

John married Elizabeth (Eliza) Johnston/Johnson who was born Mar, 1839 in Persia, Cattaraugus County, New York. Her father was Royal Pharus Johnston who was born 1814/1818 in Persia, Cattaraugus County, New York. Royal’s wife was Emma/Amy, who was born 1816/1817.. His wife died near Durrand , Michigan about 1910.
(Johann) Valentin Straub (born ? Baden, Germany) was the father of John Baptiste Straub and the husband of Anna Maria (Mary) Elizabeth Metsch/Mich, who was born 08 September, 1802. She died 30 Jan, 1882 in London, Monroe, Michigan. They were married 06 October, 1829 in ?,?. Their children were Wendlin, Mary (wife of Gabriel Wise), John Baptiste, John (Jr.), and Philip.

The following are newspaper articles transcribed in my possession which tell the LEGACY of one of their many STRAUB descendents:
[A Birthday Party of a Different Sort]

At birth May 6, 1948 Salt Lake Tribune Newspaper article, Tuesday March 19, 1946 (photo)caption reads:

NOW HE REALLY HAS A FEEDING PROBLEM. Roy Straup, head caretaker at Hogle Gardens (Zoo for Salt Lake City, Utah), has more than a feeding problem on his hands as he exhibits three milch kids, born recently at the zoo. Parents of the three young goats were triplets."

Deseret News Magazine, Salt Lake City, Utah, May 1, 1949
"Birthday- Salt Lake City's most famous one-year-old.
At birth:
Weight: One pound, eight ounces
(portion not readable, due to poor quality of zerox copy)

Today: Height: 48 "
Length: 6 ft. ?"
Weight: 140 pounds

*     *     *

Third article, all references cut off. (Photos of a full-grown "Shasta the Liger" caption: "The big, gentle cat was getting pretty old, but still wowin' 'em." A Second photo with the full-grown elephant, Alice reared up on her back feet, trunk stretched upwards in a showmanship posture, with Roy (Ellis) Straup holding a trainers rod stretched out between both hands in front of him, wearing his zoo cap, glasses, white shirt and tie and suspenders with dress shoes and pants in front of her. an image of the big Shasta is superimposed in the foreground with a look of forward movement and determination. Caption: "SIT UP, PRINCESS" (His pet nickname for her)-in celebration of her 29th anniversary in Salt Lake, Princess Alice, zoo elephant, will perform acts from her circus repertoire for visiting children at Hogle Gardens zoo tomorrow. She is shown here sitting up for her trainer and head zoo keeper, Roy Straup. [ Roy (Ellis) Straup, who was born in Raisinville, Monroe County, Michigan, changed his name from Straub to Straup, due to confusion with receiving mail delivery for someone in the valley with the same exact mailing "call" name.] [Three pages of full-sized photos of the elephant follow, but without page numbers it is hard to tell which article it goes with.]

*      *     *
Fourth newspaper article, with all references cut off: "Half Lion an' Tiger, Shasta the Liger Dies After 24 Years of Delighting Zoo Crowds." (Photo of young animal with caption: Inquisitive is the word for Shasta at age of 8 1/2 months" (reference is made in column two at the bottom to "a naming contest among readeres of the old Salt Lake Telegram" publication of Salt Lake City, Utah) Article reads: By Lance S. Gudmundsen, [Salt Lake]Tribune Staff Writer
Shasta the liger - the stellar attraction at Hogle Zoological Gardens for nearly 2 1/2 decades, but to most Uathns simply the big cat who was their old friend - died at 1 a/m/ Wednesday of what zoo director Lamar Farnsworth called "natural causes." She was 24.
Mr. Farnsworth said an autopsy revealed Shasta died from kidney and liver failure but that "she was in amazingly good condition for her age." He said "she just died of old age."
A taxidermist will prepare the animal and she will be displayed at the Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah, the director said.
Only Known Liger
The world's only know liger, a hybrid offspring of a male lion and female tiger, had been in failing health for several months. But she far outlived the normal lifespan of lions and tigers - 13 to 16 years.
When her birth on May 8, 1948, was announced, it created a stir among zoologists around the globe.
???[missing letters due to hole punched in the zerox copy]when the 17-pound ungainly little cat was displayed some three months later, curious onlookers were expecting something more unusual than what they saw.
An 8- ear-old Salt Lake girl on hand for the first public showing summed it up by asking her mother: "Which is it?" For Shasta wasn't a freak, in any sense/ Only clues to her mixed parentage were a head resembling a lion's and a body definitely striped like a tiger's.
Shasta was born in a secluded cage on a spring morning, the daughter of Huey, a male lion, and Daisie, a female tiger.
At first, one-pound, eight-ounce Shasta was hailed as a "tiglon," But Time Magazine, in a subsequent issue, said the cub actually was a "liger," and not to be confused with a "tiglon" - an offspring of a Manhattan's Central Park Zoo.
So, zoo officials decided Time was right, and Shasta was declared to be a "liger."
Before Shasta went on display, she lived in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sloan, then city parks superintendent.
Needed A Name

Even though showered with affection, the little cub badly needed one other thing - a name. And that came from a contest among readers of the old Salt Lake Telegram [Newspaper]
But after the contest was over, some persons still preferred to believe their own version of "Shasta's" origin. One was that Mrs. Sloan was constantly reminded by visitors, "She hasta have this. . . and she hasta have that. . . " Hence the name, "Shasta."
Even before Shasta opened her eyes, she knew she was the center of attention. And soon she became accustomed to the noise of crowds and the burst of light from flashbulbs. While other animals started at the the commotion, Shasta took it in stride.

The big cat with the winsome eyes soon won its way into the hearts of tens of thousands of youngsters around teh Intermountain Area. They turned out en masse every year for a gala birthday party sponsored by the Salt Lake Tribune.

And Fun for All

Thousands made birthday cards for Shasta, entitling them to free admission to the zoo, free treats and dozens of prizes given away by The Tribune.
The kiddies of 1948 could be seen some 20 years -later - bringing their own children to see the famous animal who was their good and old friend.

And so it went through the years - through many birthday parties. Usually, the big cat was nonchalant about the affair, sleeping most of the day and arising to eat at mealtime.

Occassionally, she'd look at the faces of youngsters and nod her head.

Shasta wasn't aloof - she just was confident of her place in history."

{Photo below of a very young Shasta, drinking her milk from a very big baby bottle being held by a zoo employee.

*      *      *

Roy Ellis Straup and his wife, Tranquilla Ann Pedereson, lived at 258 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. There was an article about "To Grandma's House - almost" on 600 South [and about 846 East] in a newspaper article, because of the historic significance of it to present generations, with a line drawing included. I have photos of them in their later years standing in front of their home. I do not know which newspaper or when it was printed.

Hello, everyone!

This is my first posting.

Here is the link to what is currently documented and known:

http://dgmweb.net/genealogy/FGS/Stra/StraubJohannValentin-An...

Seeking the name of the town, Kreis of origin for this family. Does anyone know who would be the right person to Ask -(or have a document in a box, Bible, attic) a retired Priest, parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Mary's or St. Patrick's Church if someone remembers or knows the name of the town and county for the Straub family? A Valentine Straub is reportedly buried in one of the three older St. Mary's Cemeteries - I think I remember 1860?

Naturalization record found in Monroe County Courthouse, Michigan, Book 1856- 1874 Entry 183 gives John B. Straub, age 30 Born Baden, Germany. Sailed from port of Antwerp in 1846, to N.Y. to the county of Monroe, Michigan. Sworn 20 April 1864. Wendlin Straub, age 34 and John (Jr.) Straub, age 27 naturalized the same day.

1900 Census gives the year of Emigration as 1842.
Brother, Philip Straub on the same Monroe Census lists his year of emigration as 1846.

I do not find them in the Auswander or ships lists online.

Can someone do a look-up in the Book, "Descendants of John Eby and Elizabeth Domberger" by Monroe County Historical Museum?
Authors: Lynn Waybright, Rick Grassley

Call numbers: 929.273 Eb97r FHL FAM HIST Book - Avail

Publication: Monroe, Michigan: Genealogical Society of Monroe County.
Good Evening,

Have received information pertaining to George's natural parents. About all we have is from the 1910 Whatcom Co., Mi. census. It shows

Frank Bush 44 of Oh.

May Bush 34 of Mi

Helen Bush 16 (George's natural mother)

Deo Bush age 12 Mi

Brace Bush 5 of Mi.

We know that Helen married a Earl Bell who was born in Ill. They were probably married in Whatcom Co. but so far have not found a marriage lie etc. Nor have we found the divorce papers nor the 2nd marriage of Helen (Bush) Bell to Ludwig Kley.

Since I am no longer able to get out to do research, does anyone know where I might write to get marriage or death records there in the Milan area or do you know of someone who would do this research for us.

Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Beth
abcfhist@hotmail.com
