I manage the BLANCHARD-L Mail List at RootsWeb and we are conducting a Genealogy DNA project to help resolve several questions about some of the early BLANCHARD immigrants to America.

A number of our List members are participating in the project but we need to find more test subjects to fill a few of the critical slots. The testing involves Y-chromosome analysis, so we require living, direct male descendants.

In particular, we are looking for descendants of Thomas BLANCHARD (c1590-1654) through his eldest son George.

I believe that Francis B. Blanchard, b 1863 Farmington, Tioga, PA is a Thomas > George descendant. Francis was a physician and in 1913, was living in Lake View, Montcalm, MI. If you have any knowledge of Francis or information about his possible living, male descendants, please contact me.
