Hello, I too am looking for information about this family. This is my husbands side of the tree.
John W. Craft born Sep 1868 Stanton Ionia, Michigan died 13 Mar 1912 Greenville, Montcalm, Michigan is my husbands great grandfather. John married Bell Knapp October 3rd 1893.

I am very interested in any information anyone may have on this John. The two had 2 daughters and 2 sons. Robert Jesse Craft is my husbands grandfather.

The family story is that he was half Indian. Robert changed his name from Craft to West after 1920. There is also a story that there was a murder in his family. I have found John W. Craft in a Jackson Pris. Census. Belle living with son Robert.

No one knows why Robert changed his name. He died in Three Rivers Michigan 1971.

My family is very much interested in any information about this family. If anyone has any information no matter how little or much, it may be some clue for us to find out more. Please contact me!
