Died after a good run battling Leukemia (A.L.L.) on October 3, 2008. Helen was born in Chicago, IL the daughter of Fred W. and Margaret (Dumpke) Lewis. Her favorite times were playing in the dunes, the channel and big lake, riding "little red", rocking her babies and when "the devil got into her." She enjoyed the company of her neighbors and friends of the Red Hat Society. Her Husband Harold D. "Louie" Lewis preceded her in death. Helen is survived by her children and their spouses, Karen and Ken Dunn of Mattawan, Sherry and Kim Zylstra of Indianapolis, IN, Brian Lewis of Wayland, Amanda and Max Munson of Linden, Andrew and Leslee Lewis of West Olive; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday morning from 9:30AM until 11:30AM at the

A luncheon will immediately follow the visitation at Sherman Lake Y.M.C.A. Conference room in the main lodge, on 39h St. in Augusta, Family and friends will gather at the Cortege Assembly area at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 1:45 for a 2 PM shelter committal. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan and mailed to the funeral home.
