Like you, I am not certain of anything... Lucinda was born in Pennsylvania (her sister too)...so her birth record would be there. I searched for her death record, but could not find it (back in the 80's) I even looked at the State library, but times have changed and maybe they have improved on the search. I have thought of trying to send for a copy on-line but I'm not hopeful. Go ahead & try! I also tried to find her grave to no avail... Her sister is buried at Round Lake Cemetery near Mears, Ocean, MI
I would love to do the DNA tests but no $$$... hopefully soon!
Dad has been told that he looks very Cherokee (from the indians down in NC) as my 1st cousin married & lives there.
My father is the only living person in that line who's that old- all his siblings have died and his cousin Rose died recently.... Dad did not know much, but my mother is the one who listened to my Grandmother talk of their family (and me as a young girl) but we have only what was verbally passed down to us.
We have a few pics of Edgar Strait & his family from around 1895 or so.... that is all.
