I would be interested in any information on the Frank (originally Franz) GILG, p. 23, Rockland Twp., 1860 census, mining laborer, born in Austria (actually East Boehmen). I believe this is my g-grandfather who by 1862 is registered as a soldier for the Wisconsin infantry in the Civil War.
Even more I am interested in the 3 KOCHs mentioned on pp. 2-3 of Rockland Township, 1860, Leopold b ca 1832, with wife Annie and daughter Annie, "Gotlief" (likely my g-grandfather Gottlieb) KOCH, b ca 1831, and brother(?) or cousin(?) Frank / Franz KOCH b ca 1831 too. I found Leopold and Franz again in 1870, but what happened to them after that? I know Gottlieb moved to Stearns County in 1866 and died there in 1898. At least I believe this "Gotlief" and my Gottlieb are the same. I am especially interested in from what town in Wuerttemberg they were born.
Thanks for any help or comments.
