I'm looking for William James Hebner who lived in Onaway. He's in Forest Township 1910 - 1930. William was born in Sanilac Co., Mich. in 1851. He married Lucy Greenlaw 25 Jul 1875 Elk Township, Sanilac Co. Lucy died in Onaway 09 Sept. 1931 and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, across the county line in Cheboygan County. Apparently William is buried there as well. I talked to the Forest Township Clerk and there are three other "occupied" graves there but no names or dates or apparently stones. Two other daughters are buried in Forest Lawn: Ethel Maud Hebner who died 16 Apr 1906 in Onaway and Lillian (Spaven) who died 12 Mar 1977 also in Onaway.

I have searched the Onaway Deaths on-line and William isn't there. I have contacted Presque Isle Co. and Cheboygan Co. and not there either. He is not in the 1940 census. Does anyone recognize this Hebner family and might know when and where William died? There was also a son Frank who died in 1974 in Redford, Wayne Co.
