Hi,

This message is years old and I wonder if you will actually get this response but...

I wonder how you connect James Purdy to Francis and StillJohn?

I think that this James Purdy may well be the son of Caleb Purdy of Cramahe. He names his first son Caleb which strengthens my case. Caleb came from Westchester Co., New York and was in Coxsackie Green County, New York from at least 1787-1790. In 1795 he is in Upper Canada, first Hamilton Twp and then Cramahe. He has sons Gibert, James, Nathaniel, John and Caleb and a sixth son either David or Richard born in Canada about 1805.

Would like to talk more about this with you. If you do get this message please contact me directly....

Thanks,
Linda Herman
