My James H. Sears was born in Vermont ca. 1793. He served in the War of 1812 and applied for a pension in 1871 while living in St. Clair Co. MI. He married Eliza Kellogg at Rochester, N.Y. 3/17/1816. He & Eliza lived in Canada. She died in 1836 and he remarried a Mary Brown. She died in 1841. I could not find any records on him until he appeared in MI. in 1871. I'm do not know the names of all his children. My ancestor is his daughter Caroline who married Adam Weaver in Canada. I have no knowledge of a Mary Sears.
