Mrs. Anna Jane Martin
Mrs. Anna Jane McCoy was born in Madock, Ontario, Feb. 24, 1846, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Campbell, in Capac, of complications induced by old age. Her father was the late Jacob McCoy a pioneer West Road farmer. the McCoy and Martin families came to this locality from Canada in the late 60's. The deceased had lived in this locality for over 65 years.
Mr. Martin died many years ago. For three years Mrs. Martin had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Campbell and grand-son, Martin Campbell. One daughter, Mrs. Anna Warren, also preceded her in death. The deceased became a member of the Baptist Church under the pastorial of Rev. Wallace in 1890.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Federated church, with Rev. Dwight Ramadell officiating. And burial was in the Capac cemetery.
Left to mourn their loss are two daughters: Mrs. Jennie Campbell and Mrs. D.A. McDougall, of Capac; two sons: John E. Martin, Capac, and William T. Martin, of Almont; seven grand-children and five great-grand-children.
