Rev. Raymond Elias Wonderlic, 57, pastor of Methodist Protestant church of Clio, died of a heart attack in his home in Clio Sunday night, after completing a busy day in church work.
He preached his regular sermon Sunday morning and Sunday night took several young people to a church rally at New Lathrop. He dropped dead soon after reaching home.
He is survived by his wife; his father, Frederick Wonderlic, Port Huron; a son, Clare Wonderlic, Clio; a daughter, Mrs. William Kreeger, Port Huron; and two brothers, Nathan Wonderlic, Saginaw, and Charles N. Wonderlic, Port Huron.
Before being transferred to Caro in 1931 Rev. Wonderlic had been the popular pastor of the Capac Methodist Protestant church for 8 years. The family has many friends here.
Funeral services were held Wednesday noon in the Clio Methodist Protest church, Rev. Clayton Oliver, pastor of the Capac M.P. church, and former pastor at Clio, officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery, near Goodells.
