Scott Jamison, 63, died at the home of his son, Samuel, in Lynn township, Thursday evening, August 8, 1929, at 7 o'clock, after an illness of about 6 months from cancer in one ear. Before his illness became very serious, several weeks, Mr. Jamieson and his aged wife resided on their 160-acre farm in Lynn township, where they have been respected pioneer citizens for many years. Mrs. Jamieson is 75 years of age.
Scott Jamison was born at Ireland 73 years ago. At the age of 16 years he went to England; a little later he came to America, settling in Ontario; 40 years ago he moved to Sandusky, Mich., and later to Argyle, Mich., where he cleared up an 80-acre farm; 26 years ago he moved to Lynn township and settled on the present Jamieson farm.
The deceased leaves to mourn their loss his aged widow, five sons, one daughter and 14 grandchildren. The funeral services were held on Saturday, August 10, at the house, Rev. Wonderlic officiating, and the burial was in the Lynn Bethel cemetery.
