Hi, all:

My 2nd great-grandfather, Jeremiah FREDERICK, was born in Hastings County, Ontario, in 1825, and he lived much of his young years in Middlesex County, Ontario. I have found a Civil War draft registration card for Jeremiah Frederick in St. Clair County, Michigan, in 1863. It's a fair assumption that this is probably my Jeremiah. How would I go about finding any other records of his brief time stepping into the U.S. at a calamitous moment? What would he possibly have been doing there? Perhaps the chance of a good job? Thank you for any help.
