Bronson; Katheryn E. GAUTHIER, 88, 429 Shaffmaster Ave., died July 11, 1989, at Branch County Community Health Center, Coldwater.

She was born Feb. 4, 1901, in Florence Township, St. Joseph County, a daughter of John Jacob and Sophia Ellen (BENT) REILING.

On July 29, 1932, she married Lysle PRINCE, in Mount Carroll, Ill. He died in November 1949. On July 29, 1960, she married Dr. August E. GAUTHIER, in San Francisco. He died in August 1963.

She was a California resident 52 years, returning to Michigan in 1987.she graduated from high school in Battle Creek and was the manager of the pattern department in the Emporium, San Francisco, several years. She was a sports fan and a member of the California Seals Booster Club and the Detroit Red Wings Booster Club.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Marguerite) CAIN and Mrs. Vernal (Maxine) PARISH, both of Ontario, Ind.; and one brother, Denzil REILING, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Relatives and friends may call at the Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home, Sturgis, where the family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today. Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Palmer, Bronson United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Marcellus Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
