Trying to find more on a pair of GG-Grandparents. I found that Jacob Mathias Fluri married Catherine Reas in St Joseph County on January 14, 1864. I have some on Jacob being born in Switzerland in 1832, Catherine is a blank up until her marriage to Jacob. Her obit from 1942 states that she was born in Pennsylvania and relocated to Elkhart Indiana with her foster parents at age 16. It goes on to state that that is where she met and marrieds Jacob and their first child was born, a son named Henry Phillip was born, before they moved to Cass County Michigan.

I have strong doubts on the authenticity of data in the obit as it was provided by her youngest son 80 years after the events. Just recently I found in "Michigan County Marriages 1820-1935" that they were really married in St Joseph County Michigan by a John Smith, Justice of the Peace on January 14, 1864.
