BRONSON — Terri Lynn (SHOWALTER) RONEY, age 40, died Thursday, April 13, 2000 in Dallas, Texas. She was born Aug. 29, 1959 in Muncie, Ind., a daughter of Dan and Rose (WOLF) SHOWALTER.

Terri Lynn graduated from North Side High School in Muncie, Ind. in 1977 and attended Ball State University. She was married to Hal RONEY in May 1986 in Atlanta, Ga.

Terri moved from Muncie, Ind. to Atlanta in 1984 and then moved to Dallas, Texas in 1988. She was very organized and loved to be around children. Terri owned and operated an excellent day care center for the past 12 years in Dallas. While visiting her mother after the death of her father last month, she saw a need for day care in the Bronson area and had planned to move to Bronson, Mich. this summer and open a day care center.

Surviving are: her mother, Rose SHOWALTER of Bronson; sons, Nathaniel RONEY and Robby RONEY, both of Dallas, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Brian WRITTENHOUSE of Muncie, Ind.; a brother, Mike SHOWALTER of Muncie; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Amy SHOWALTER of Bronson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dan SHOWALTER in March 2000.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the Kolcz Funeral Home of Bronson, where funeral services celebrating the life of Terri Lynn (SHOWALTER) RONEY will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Debra Valentine of the First Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate.

Interment will follow in the family plot at Matteson Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family on behalf of her sons. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
