Bruce D. Silvernail, 80, of East Bevens Road, Deford, died Sunday, Jan. 3 at Tendercare, Cass City, following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 26, 1912, in Caro.
Mr. Silvernail and the former Martha Compton were married Feb. 25, 1936 in Highland Park.
He was a graduate of the Henry Ford Trade School of Detroit and worked for many years in supervision. He retired from Walbro Corp. in 1979 as a tool and die maker. After retirement, he sharpened saw blades in his home for several years.
Silvernail is survived by his wife, Martha; one son, Gary Silvernail of Saginaw; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Patricia) Bruce of Deford, Mrs. Anthony (Sharon) Mileski of Caro and Mrs. Dan (Dolly) Houghton of Deford; one sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hughes of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Silvernail, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gary (Betty) Silvernail.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Collon Funeral Home, Caro, with the Rev. Wilbur Silvernail officiating.
Burial will be in the Indianfields Township Cemetery.
