I am looking for information on my great grandfather David DOWNES who died in 1895, possibly in an accident at sea. He was a freighter captain. Married to Georgiana ROOT in Sacketts Harbor, New York in 1874. She died at Wayne County General Hospital in 1947.

I have checked the census records of Sacketts Harbor for 1880 and couldn't find him there. I know they moved to Detroit by 1896. Do you have any 1890 census record for Wayne County?
