Looking for any Romanowski's and Najduk's that came from Wayne County 20 years before the turn of this century till now. Would love to know what happoned to several relatives.
Anthoney Romanowski who came to Detroit around 1900. Who did he marry and what when did he die, ect.? His mother was Agnitus Bielaska who died in 1883 in Psetule, Poland. He had a half brother named Walery who was born in 1888. His mothers name was Julie. I belive he was still alive in 1936 because he is mentioned in his fathers obit. Walery could of been born around Feb. 14th. All of his fathers children (18) seemed to have been named for the feast day of the Saint that they were born on.
His father Frank Romanowski has three wives and 18 children. He came to the Detroit area aound 1890. He owned the land the the Chene Ferry Market is on. Frank Romanowski was born Oct. 3, 1845. His fathers name was Stanislaus. He had at least 3 daughters that he brought over here from Poland.
Catherina Romanowski married Ludicum Okrutniewicz. The Okrutniewicz family children changed their last name to Owen. They had a daughter named Sabina who married a man named Theodare Farjukas.
Marcella Romanowski married Jacbus Bartoszek. They had 3 children. Jerome, Elizabeth and Casmira. (Cassie) Cassie married Joseph Szkotnicki. The Szkotnicki family changed their last name to Scott. Cassie and Joseph Scott never had children. Elizabeth Bartoszek married Lester Baggs. They never had children. The brother Jerome never married. They are all buried with the mother at Mt. Olivet.
There was another daughter who was Sophi. Her married name was Tranacki.
