Hello,
Here is what I found in my abstract.
John Reynolds was on this Dearborn 640 acre property and somehow it was assigned to Joel Thomas (who was from the town of Pekin in the Michigan territory. Joel Thomas has the land from 1775 to 1831, but nothing was done on the land from 1796 to 1807. The land was officially named his in 1832. In 1821, Aaron Thomas claimed John Reynolds gave the some of the land to him, but John Reynolds testified that he gave it to Joel. (I didn't look at your family tree. I wonder if Aaron and Joel were related?)
On December 2, 1833 the land went to Jasper Thomas, son of Joel Thomas, deceased. Joel Thomas' estate was a bond that was missing, 127 acre farm worth $1,450.00, unimproved land woth $2,560.00. Eliza Stanton made a claim that Joel Thomas entered into a contract, before his death, to give her some land.
Land was also given to Nancy (whose guardian was Benjamin L. King) and Sarah Thomas (whose guardian was Alanson Thomas), minor daughters of Joel. Some land was also given to Salley and Daniel Ent (Salley was Joel Thomas' daughter - but later in the abstract it says Daniel and Sarah Ent - so I don't know if there was another daughter named Salley or not). Most of Joel Thomas' land was sold to Conrad Ten Eyck. Nancy Thomas died unmarried sometime before 1854. That is all the information in the abstract regarding Joel Thomas. I hope this helps.
