Biff's first name was Charles. I saw him in the 1930 census of Port Huron, I believe in the 5th Ward. He was 37 and was a marine reporter for the Marine Reporting Co. This must have been close to the time the incident occured, as my uncle was born in 1918 and only stayed in school until 8th grade. He skipped school that day. My uncle said he had a boat similar to a tug boat, and would take mail to the various ships. I was during one of these mail runs that he spotted my uncles when their boat over-turned. The 3rd boy, who helped them get the row boat ready to sail, was not with them that day. His name was Willie Sanderson
