I have a picture of my gr gr grandfather, Christoph Jordening and a man we know only as "Uncle Buck". It was taken in Ortonville, MN and we believe that "Uncle Buck" is a relative of Christoph's but we don't know how. We also have a picture of "Uncle Buck" and a wife and child, also taken in Ortonville.
We believe that Christoph Jordening and family may have lived for a short time in Ortonville prior to his settling in Meeker County, MN in 1880.
Also, a woman named Harriet "Hattie" Buck married Christoph's son, George, and later divorced him. (after 1890) She then married Barton Tate, and divorced him, also. She supposedly lived with her sister, Ida Buck, who was a school teacher in Ortonville. I don't know if these women are the daughters of "Uncle Buck" or not. In addition we have another picture of George William Buck and his family. I assume he is their brother, but I am not sure.
Anyone researching a Buck family from Ortonville? Please contact me. Thank you.
