Obituary
HARRY VITALIS
Harry Vitalis, age 86 years, passed away and was laid to rest on Monday, October 22nd following services held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Almelund with Rev. Edward T. Chindvall officiating, singer was Mrs. Edward Chindvall and organist Mrs. Melvin Johnson. Pallbearers were: Fred Johnsen, Carl Reed, Wm. Reed, Fred Sandberg, Algot Sellman and Dewey Sellman. Interment was at Fairview cemetery.
Harry Vitalis, the son of the late Charles and Josephine Vitalis was born May 18, 1876 in Franconia. Mr. Vitalis attended schools in the community and was married to Alice Nelson of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota in 1900. The couple moved to a farm near Almelund in the same year where they lived until 1941. They then moved to Shafer for one winter and then to Lindstrom. He was a life-long resident of the area. Death came after a two-year stay at the Green Acres Rest Home at North Branch.
Mr. Vitalis is survived by one daughter, Marjorie (Mrs. Swen Carlson) of St. Paul; one grandchild, Glen Carlson of St. Paul and one sister, Mrs. Clara Volder of Chisago City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice and his brother, George of Annandale, Minnesota
