Martin was born abt. 1865, Norway and d. 30 Oct 1949, Todd Co.

Grethe was born abt. 1858, Norway and d. 07 Dec 1932, Douglas Co.

They were married 01 Dec 1897 at Sauk Valley Lutheran Church, Douglas Co. Grethe's sister, Karen (Mrs. Baard) Anderson hosted their reception in West Union.

Martin and Grethe had three known children (all born in Todd Co. and all died in Douglas Co.):

Gena Mathilda (19 Mar 1900 - 21 May 1995) not married
Carl (08 May 1903 - 13 Apr 1995) m. Bergliot Elizabeth Bryngulfson
