I've hit a brick wall with one of my ancestors. Nicholas Stieren (born March 1868) is the brother of my gr.grandmother (Mary Stieren Wolters), but I have no idea what ever happened to him. The last name has proved to be spelled several different ways, depending on what you are looking at. I've seen it Stieren, Stiern, Stiren, Stearn, etc. The last record that I can find was him living with his father, Matthias, in LaGrand Township, Douglas County, Minnesota. I have been unable to track him down from there. I believe his parents are buried in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Any help would be appreciated, as I've totally hit a brick wall.
