Here is a site where you can find Nicholas's land patent and print it out!

Click on "land patents"
Location box choose "Minnesota" "Fillmore
In the "Names" just type in Walrod - only one "l" and no first name then click on the orange bar "search Patents"

Nicholas shows up in the group at the bottom. Click on the 4th (last) gold page on the left hand side and the image for a Military Warrant from Antonio Jose Gordo to Nicholas Walrod was issued. You can click in the upper part of the right hand of the screen and a new window with a printer friendly version will pop-up
