I am researching the origin of the Big Woods. I know that my family has been in this area for many years, but I have no knowledge of where the name "Big Woods" came from- other than the obvious, of course. Was there also a "Little or Small Woods"? Chickentown, Big Rock and Weisel Valley are all nestled fondly in my memory. Is there anyone out there that has a few stories to share with me about these areas & how they were named. Thanks.
