I am in possession of an old (1858) Norwegian
Bible with the following written in it in script... This was passed down from my second Grandmother Gerda
Andersen Houmann from Frederickshavn Denmark, she had family in
Aarhus and
Aalborg and elsewhere in Denmark, I do know that several of her brothers spelled the
Andersen,
Anderson... Carl and Gregers...which would be the Norwegian spelling?
To my knowledge, I do not know where this book/or people fall in that part of the family...but the coincidences with your post were too great to ignore, whether these are your people who immigrated to the US, I'm not sure...but
here is the info...
(I have another handwritten page of Arnnesons or Annesons Christensens, and Svalestruns(?) from 1840-1881.. which would probably be the next generation- there is a Botolf JohN 17 MAY 1877)
