Olson brothers

Looking for Carl Olson and Andres Olson who came from Norway in 1869 and may have lived in Grant County.

They were listed on the passenger list to Quebec with Peder Sørensen Mahla and his wife Sara Tollefsdatter. Peders name was first, then Sara and then son Carl Olsen 18 and son Andres Olson 21. Because Karl and Andres were called sons but with the name Olsen it looks like Peder was not the father but that Sara had been married to Ole first.

In 1865 in Norway Karl Ols. was living with Peder and Sara; Anders Ols. was living with Lars Tølløfs. at Præstmoe. I believe that Lars and Sara were brothers.

On the 1870 census for Grant County, Peder and Sara were living in Erdahl township and listed with the surname Alvstad which I believe is a misspelling of the name ALSTAD. The name on Peder's naturalization and other records was ALSTAD (peder was born on the Alstad farm in Nord Trondelag; Also living there was Peder's brother Iver and CARL. This must be the same Carl who lived with Peder in Norway and immigrated with him.

I sure would like to hear from someone who might know a Carl and/or Andres Olsen.
