Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Schroeder, 59, rural Caledonia, died of cancer Tuesday, July 18, in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse.
She was born Feb. 10, 1919, in Jefferson Township, Houston County, to William and Dora (Isackson) Schuldt. She married Richard Schroeder on June 25, 1940, in Caledonia and they farmed in the Caledonia area.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Thomas of Caledonia; four grandchildren; four brothers, Harry and Henry Schuldt, both of Caledonia, Charles of Virginia Beach, Va., and Berthell of La Crescent; and six sisters, Mrs. Armin (Helen) Luttchens and Mrs. William (Blanche) Schaller, both of New Albin, Mrs. Francis (Esther) Merry of Rochester, Mrs. Norman (Evelyn) Wuennecke of Dubois, Wyo., Mrs. Robert (Dolores) Weiss of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Lee (Phyllis) Jensen of Minneapolis.
A brother preceded her in death.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Caledonia, with the Rev. Marvin Doelger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, Thursday afternoon and evening, and at the church Friday from 1 p.m. until the services.
