My name is Kevin Kennedy. Your grandpa Gene Meeks was my uncle and your dad my cousin. My grandpa was Earl Meeks. Your grandpa and my grandpa were brothers. I lived in Laporte until I was 16. That was back in 1974. The last time I saw your dad was about 31 years ago. He took me, my wife and first kid out on Leech Lake to where they found arrow heads and such and then to a desolate beach were we built sand castles.
Sad to hear of his death.
